A popular example of Dada inspired collage would be the animations and collages produced by Terry Gilliam for Monty Python.

SUMMARY:Life Drawing at the Black Swan
DESCRIPTION:We will be hosting life drawing sessions at the Black Swan Theatre on the 2nd Wednesday of the month. Come along for an enjoyable drink and draw event!  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe will provide drawing boards and basic drawing materials\, so you can just turn up and take part but if you want to bring your own materials you are welcome to do so. This is a suitable session for any level from beginner to expert. We will start of with some quick poses and exercises to get everybody warmed up before moving on to longer poses in the second half of the night.  \n\n\n\nAn experienced artist will be hosting the session and we use a variety of professional models. This session is largely ‘untutored’ but advice and encouragement will be offered if you would like it. If you just want to come along and do your own thing\, that is also encouraged. We are aiming to provide a safe\, welcoming and inclusive environment for all attendees so this is not a scary\, silent\, studious session and we encourage people to make connections. \n\n\n\nPlease note that we will be drawing a nude model so this session is for over 18s only. If you fancy having a go at making a unique little Rabbit in a friendly relaxed environment\, then this workshop is for you. \n\n\n\nThe Little Rabbit is made from recycled materials/objects. Little Rabbit is made by hand – basically hand sewing and a small amount of glueing. If you do not have any experience with sewing – do not worry as full instructions and guidance will be given and only very basic sewing stitches are used. No need to bring anything as all requirements will be provided to make Little Rabbit on the day. Please note\, this workshop is not suitable for children under the age of 14 years. DESCRIPTION:This month at By The Broads we will be running some pet portrait workshops. All you need to do is bring along some images to work from. You can book onto individual workshops or for the whole month. If you are interested in booking the whole month at a discount rate\, please contact us via email.  \n\n\n\nThe pet doesn’t have to be your own\, feel free to bring any pet image providing that the owner is known to you or has given permission for you to use the image. This would be a good opportunity for anyone who wants to create a pet portrait as a gift for a friend or family member. \n\n\n\nThis is the last in a series of workshops where we will be producing pet portraits using a variety of different techniques. In this workshop we will be using a flat felting technique to create pet portraits. We do this by using needle-felting needles to push wool into a flat piece of felt. If you look at ‘wool painting’ online\, this will give you an idea of what the technique is like.  \n\n\n\nTuesday 5th May – Collage – You will have everything you need to produce a unique collage using paper and textiles-based materials. \n\n\n\nTuesday 12th May – Printmaking – Exploring linocut\, collagraph and mono-printing techniques. \n\n\n\nTuesday 19th May – Watercolour – Try this sensitive and effective medium to produce a portrait of your favourite pet. \n\n\n\nTuesday 26th May – Drawing with wool – This uses a needle-felting technique to ‘paint’ onto a flat piece of felt.

SUMMARY:Life Drawing at The Black Swan
DESCRIPTION:We will be hosting life drawing sessions at the Black Swan Theatre on the 2nd Wednesday of the month. Come along for an enjoyable drink and draw event!  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe will provide drawing boards and basic drawing materials\, so you can just turn up and take part but if you want to bring your own materials you are welcome to do so. This is a suitable session for any level from beginner to expert. We will start of with some quick poses and exercises to get everybody warmed up before moving on to longer poses in the second half of the night.  \n\n\n\nAn experienced artist will be hosting the session and we use a variety of professional models. This session is largely ‘untutored’ but advice and encouragement will be offered if you would like it. If you just want to come along and do your own thing\, that is also encouraged. We are aiming to provide a safe\, welcoming and inclusive environment for all attendees so this is not a scary\, silent\, studious session and we encourage people to make connections. \n\n\n\nPlease note that we will be drawing a nude model so this session is for over 18s only. SUMMARY:Workshop - Folklore Themed Tetra-Pak Printing
DESCRIPTION:We are kicking off the new year of with some fantastic workshops at By The Broads of Norfolk Folklore\, this month looking at Hikey Sprites. These will be held the 1st 4 Tuedays in March 1pm-4pm £15 a session or book all sessions for £50. Be sure to book quickly as there are only 8 spaces available for these fantastic workshops. \n\n\n\nIn the Tetra-pak printing workshop you will hear about the legendary Hikey Sprite and you are invited to share anything that you know about this classic East Anglian creature while we create some prints. The idea of these workshops is to embrace the oral history of the region\, by the sharing of tales and to be creative in doing so. Sitting with others and making things is a great way of getting to know new people and making connections in the community. \n\n\n\nThe Tetra-pak print workshop will be the last of 4 workshops based around Hikey Sprites with the monthly schedule looking like this: \n\n\n\nWeek 1 (3rd March) – Drawing & painting – Thinking about how we can draw something that is mythological\, looking at using different mark-making techniques and colours. \n\n\n\nWeek 2 (10th March) – Linocut printing – Creating a linocut print design and printing onto different surfaces\, following the monthly folklore theme. \n\n\n\nWeek 3 (17th March) – Air dry clay modelmaking – Try out some air-drying clay to make small models based on the current folklore theme. \n\n\n\nWeek 4 (24th March) – Tetra-pak printing – Using recycled tetra-pak cartons to create innovative prints. \n\n\n\nAll materials used at these workshop will be available to buy from Ye Broads Craft shoppe.
