Dada Inspired Collage

This month’s Tuesday afternoon workshops will be inspired by different art movements. Each week we will be focussing on a well-known art movement, looking at some examples and exploring how we can replicate that style.

Dadaists rejected logic, reason and capitalist ideas. In their use of collage, they explored the use of premade materials like newspapers, magazines and wallpaper and juxtaposed these often to create depictions of the ridiculous. A popular example of Dada inspired collage would be the animations and collages produced by Terry Gilliam for Monty Python.
